A new and singular character has entered into my life. He stands around four feet tall. He has a long and unkempt beard. He wears an old fashioned fisherman's hat. I have never seen his eyes. He wears a smart red velvet coat and bright green corduroy trousers. He wears steel toe-capped boots. I have never seen another human being like him.
Every day at 9am and 5 pm, the man enters the lift. I watch all day and I never see him leave. He enters the lift and then later on in the same day, he enters the lift again. There is no other way down. I cannot work out how he is coming down again.
I write a new heading in my book called 'The mystery of the short man.'
